The Tees Wheelyboats Club is delighted to announce its new competition for local year three and four pupils to take part in an exciting new ‘Design our T-shirt competition’

To coincide with our season launch in April we’d like to get pupils to design a T-shirt for our crew to wear during April. The theme of this is of course the Wheelyboat and Stockton but we leave it to the individual’s imagination as to the design

The Tees Wheelyboats Club which is based at the River Tees Watersports Centre in Stockton and its patron Baroness Tanni Grey Thompson (who is considered to be one of the most successful disabled athletes in the U.K) launched a specially adapted boat called a Wheelyboat in the summer of 2011 after the club raised and secured the funds needed to buy it.

The Wheelyboat has been specially designed with a bow door that is hinged and lowers to form a ramp enabling ‘roll-on, roll-off’ access, to accommodate disabled people and wheelchair users in particular, easily and safely.

The winner will win a £25 voucher and a short trip on the Wheelyboat with their parent(s) or guardian(s) and friends. To enter, please download an entry form and a copy of the terms and conditions.
